President -            Craig C. Sundgren, RCE 23227

BACKGROUND:
                                   
Craig C. Sundgren graduated from Cal Poly, Pomona with a B.S. in Civil Engineering in 1970.  He obtained his license as a Registered Civil Engineer in 1973.  Upon graduation, Mr. Sundgren was employed by Cal Trans (District 8 - San Bernardino office) and remained there from 1970 to 1975.  During his employment at Cal Trans he rotated through the various departments, but spent the majority of his employment in the Right of Way Engineering Dept.

Upon leaving Cal Trans, Mr. Sundgren was employed by Pioneer Consultants in Redlands, California, as the Assistant Resident Engineer overseeing the construction of the 2nd Lake Arrowhead Dam.  Upon leaving that position in 1977, he, along with two other partners, established the firm of Beckley, Sundgren, and Eddy, later becoming Cubit Engineering.

Mr. Sundgren is a member of the national professional Engineering organization of ASCE. Mr. Sundgren is committed to community service. In the past, he has served on the Development Advisory of the City of Hesperia, and is presently serving on the Advisory Council to the City Council in the City of Hesperia.  Craig is active in his local church, presently serving on the Board of Elders.

Mr. Ron Garton is a Professional Land Surveyor with over nineteen years of land survey, mapping and engineering experience, this includes nine years with the San Bernardino County Surveyor’s Office and two years with San Bernardino County Transportation Engineering Design. Four years of engineering and site development experience with the United States Air Force Reserve at locations in California, Oklahoma, Texas and South Korea. Five years with The Keith Companies as a Senior Project Surveyor. Mr. Garton serves as Director of Engineering and Surveying.  He will be in direct contact with clients regarding their projects to insure accuracy and timely completion.

 Mr. Robert Okarma is the firm’s Chief of Surveys with over 20 years experience in his field.  He is knowledgeable in all types of surveying as well as all types of surveying instrumentation. Mr. Okarma is responsible for survey crew research, scheduling and supervision.

Mr. Mike Thompson, the firm’s soils technician, has also been surveying in the High Desert since 1978.  Mr. Thompson began doing Soils Compaction Testing and Soil Percolation Testing in 1980.  He is certified with Nuclear Gage, and has experience in all laboratory testing.  In addition, Mr. Thompson has taken courses in concrete and asphalt concrete at Cypress College.  He is highly respected among his peers for his work in the area of soils testing.
